Last year when I was at an RV park, it was late September and the Fall weather was upon me.
I decided I wanted to turn on the furnace, especially on the chilly mornings when the Sun is further down south.
I turned on the furnace and that warmth would make the morning routine a bit more bearable.
Well, to my horror (not really that dramatic), the heater would start and suddenly stop again.
The Jayco's 184BH furnace wouldn't even get to the heating stage when it would shut down. With that, I didn't even get the shivers off of me before the fan sound would ground to a halt.
I was frustrated to say the least. When you expect to fill that warmth that would make your RV feel cozy, It stopped and the Fall drop in temperature made you feel like your sitting in a metal tin home.
I didn't sit too long as I started using the mobile to call Cunningham RV where I bought the Jayco and maintenance team told me what it was.
The Sail SwitchRemember this part for your RV furnace because it's a small piece but a life changer!
And yes, now I can be emphatic, because when the technician suggested that part, I had no ideal what's he's talking about.
Here's an image of the Sail Switch and where it's located on the RV furnace.
Also here's where you can buy the RF Furnace Sail Switch off of amazon. This is two per package.

Here's another illustration, though blurry, highlights in yellow which shows exactly where the Sail Switch is located on the furnace.
